LEAK DETECTION PROCESS

POOL, SPA, WATER SUPPLY LINE, FOUNTAINS, IRRIGATION LINE

Step 1: Ask the client certain questions that may lead to a more effective leak detection. Survey the job site and look for any details that may give clues to what has caused the leak.

Step 2: Locate all valves and openings throughout the system that we will be applying a pressure test on. Within locating these valves and openings, we also either close or plug off these areas to increase the pressure through the system that we are prepared to test.

Step 3: After all the above ground parts throughout your tested system are checked and plugged, we induce air into one of the fixtures in your system.

Step 4: Check to make sure that the plumbing system that we are applying a pressure test on holds pressure at 30 PSI 100%. If the line doesn’t hold pressure, then we use a combination of air and gas to pinpoint your break under the concrete or natural area. The combination of air and water gives a more apparent sound when we pinpoint the break using a Liquid Leak Detector.

Step 5: Once we have eliminated your plumbing as an issue, we look for structural damage throughout the pool, spa, or fountain. If your leak is on your water supply line or irrigation, then we would look for water showing up through the ground.

Step 6: Patch up any leaking structural damage discovered. If more extensive repairs are needed, a repair quote can be provided post leak detection. (We do provide a FIND IT, FIX IT service).
