REPAIR PROCESS
ON-THE-JOB: REPAIRING A WATER LEAK
Our staff at Coastal Carolina Leak Locators use state-of-the-art tools and materials to repair any leaking problems located during an official leak detection visit. No matter what your issue may be, if there is a leak, “We Find It and Fix It.”
Step 1:
Reiterate the pressure test process at the beginning of the repair.
Step 2:
Expose the area directly above where the leak was located. (Concrete may have to be cut).
Step 3:
Dig and expose the fractured pipe.
Step 4:
Remove and install new compatible parts.
Step 5:
Reiterate the pressure test process to make sure that the repaired line holes pressure at 30 PSI 100%. If another break is discovered past the initial issue, we always pinpoint and repair the second issue at an additional cost.
Step 6:
Back fill and clean the area of debris.
Step 7:
Drill in rebar and pour newly mixed concrete (If concrete was needed to be removed).
Step 8:
All systems that were repaired on will be turned back on and checked to make sure that everything is fully functional.
